Border Invasion Pics
Border Patrol statistics show that border intruder apprehensions are down from previous years.
A lot of credit for this goes to the many miles of new border fence recently built.

Generally overlooked, however, and an important factor in the equation, is the change in
tactics by the border intruders when a capture is attempted.
Until recently, most groups of intruders would surrender with little resistance when
confronted by Border Patrol, or even private citizens in most cases. Things have changed.
Now they frequently make a run for it. When this happens, agents are usually lucky to
catch one or two of a group no matter how many intruders are in the group.
This recent night video shows the increasingly common border intruder reaction to the
realization that they have been spotted. This tactic obviously reduces the number of apprehensions.
